firing pins model 11

I just bought model 11 20 gauge and took it a part to clean it. The firing pin is missing the spring around it like my 12 gauge has. Do the 20 gauge not have spring loaded firing pins? Thanks if anyone can give me an answer.

I guess know one knows the answer to my question so tonight I took apart two of my model 11 12 gauges. the 1929 manufactured gun had a square backed firing pin with a inch long retaining spring. The 1940s military shotgun had a round firing pin like my 20 gauge with a two inch spring. I took that firing pin spring and put on my 20 gauge and it fits fine. I will take it out this weekend and try it out.
