shoot a 1894 damascus gun
Re: shoot a 1894 damascus gun
I shoot three Remington damascus guns, two 1894's, and a 1889. My loads are under 7000psi and have never lenghtened the chambers. Pressures will only go up about 500psi with the shorter chambers. I'd rather see slightly higher pressures than to remove metal in the most important area. Good luck - Paul

I agree with Paul I do not like changing the chambers.
Get a 2008 Hodgdon reloading manual there are loads that are under 4000 psi.
and go up.
