Remington letters of authentication???

The Remington Society is not affiliated with Remington Arms. I don't know how it is now, but it used to be you could send them a letter with your questions and a self addressed stamped envelope, and you would get your answer back on Remington letterhead paper. I do not know what information they can provide other than the date of manufacture based on the serial number, plus what ever other info you have that you feel is pertinent, like an 'F' Grade for example, but it won't cost much to find out.
