Hello everybody,
I have had this model 1100 youth 20 gauge for quite some time now, and I have recently been doing some sporting clays. I absolutely love my shotgun, but I have noticed that the short barrel on it right now just can't get out to some of the birds. I am looking for a new one for my gun and I found 1100 replacement barrels at cabelas (http://www.cabelas.com/p-0005760210864a.shtml)
Before I purchase one, I want to ask...Will an 1100 Replacement 20 gauge barrel fit on the youth model shotgun?
1100 Youth Model 20 ga. New barrel?
Re: 1100 Youth Model 20 ga. New barrel?
As long as yours has an LT-20 receiver, yes, they will fit. You can usually shop around and find them cheaper than $230. If yours is one of those with the flat black finish, I think the extra barrels are gloss blue. I don't know if they ever made any flat black 20s with longer barrels or not.

Thanks for the reply, but I bought my weapon about 5 years ago, and I am not shure if the receiver is an LT-20. Is there a way to check?Virginian wrote:As long as yours has an LT-20 receiver, yes, they will fit. You can usually shop around and find them cheaper than $230. Read the notes on the Remington web site about what serial numbers the barrels will fit. Basically, if your serial number ends in with a 'K' or an 'L', they will fit. If yours is newer than like 20 years old you are good to go anyway.
