rusty rolling block #4
rusty rolling block #4
I have what I have seen described on this forum as a early take down model 4 rolling block. It has a tapered octagon barrel appears to be a rimfire 32 cal and lever to accomplish the take down. Serial # J194xxx. It is in very good mechanical shape but the barrel is pitted inside and the outside of the gun is covered with rust. Just though I would try to get some thoughts about reblueing or would it be better to just clean and oil it. Thanks any responce will be appreciated.

It's really a matter of personal preference. My preference would probably be to clean it up with some gun oil and 0000 steel wool, hang it on the wall and enjoy it.
