I need some suggestions on disposing of my grandfather's Model 14. I would rather it go to someone who would care for it and value it. I am the last of the males in my family line and no one else in the family has any interest in it.
It is a well-used but not abused rifle. My grandfather was the original owner and he gave it to me. I have fired it a number of times but that was about 60 years ago. I have the rifle, a box of cartriges (original) and several loose rounds, and a picture with my grandfather holding the rifle that was taken around 1916-1918 (my father was a small boy in the picture).
The rifle is a 25 caliber, serial number C 15xxx, and appears to be as it came from the factory, i.e., nothing removed or added. I base the latter statement on looking at a number of pictures on this site.
Any help would be much appreciated.
