RE: Remington Model 11 Military finish
RE: Remington Model 11 Military finish
I have been trying to narrow down when the military finish stamp started and when the game scene stopped by serial # here is what I have 480418 is the last military finish serial # I have found and the the last game scene is 472560. So there are 7858 other shotguns out there between these numbers. If anybody has a military Model 11 either with the game scene or just military finish in between those serial ranges please contact me and let me know which one you have and where your serial number falls. Hopefully this will go fast seems there are alot of helpful folk out there on this sight. Thanks Jeff B
Re: RE: Remington Model 11 Military finish
I don't know if this helps or not. I have a Model 11 with the "Military Finish" stamp. However the serial number is way out of your range. The serial number is 707991. Based on the barrel stamp, "AMM", it should date to April of 1943. It also has the ordinance bomb stamp on the barrel. Post a reply to let me know what this does to your research. Thanks.
Re: RE: Remington Model 11 Military finish
I also have a Sportsman I cannt figure out. It has a military finish with military markings, 26" improved. Serial number 475211 and the letters on the left side of the barrel are mm. Any ideas? Thanks Steve.
