Remington 521-T Junior Special code on barrel K T T

I have a Remington my Dad left me before Passing away,it is a Junior Special 521-T and has a code on the barrel K T T ,I am 55 years old and he got it before I was born.It does not have a date on it,had to replace the mag lock and was able to shoot it yesterday.There were 4 of us kids and growing up never seen a rifle shoot so strait as this one and it still does.Any information as to date of manufacture would be apreciated.Thank You

May 1948, these are actually pretty decent shooters.
