how rare is this rifle it is in very good cond. the serial number starts with a (B) everything i find says B serials were in 1933

EXTREMELY, because the 700s were introduced in 1962.if your looking at a letter B at the beginning of the serial no. That's a prefix not the date code.

Best check the barrel codes for a more accurate date.

The letter prefixes weren't used until the 1970's. I have two 700s with the "A" prefix that were made in the late 70's and two 700's with the "C" prefix that were made in the late 1980's. So, I would presume that the "B" code was used sometime earlier in the 1980's.
Now, if your 1933 date was a typo and you actually meant 1983, that would be a lot closer to fitting into the "B" prefix, and probably wouldn't make it "rare" (in .30-06).
A Remington bolt action rifle from the 1930's would probably have been a Model 30.
