Was there ever one made with a purple stock?. There are reports of people having them, but I cannot find any reference to it.

Yes. To date I have seen two of them, and that is the only two I know of. I don't think you will find any info on them. I dont believe they were ever in production, just a sample for a customer or a mix up of material. However they did get out of the factory. I have heard of many colors, red, blue, pink, but the purples are the only odd color I have ever seen.
