Post by remington3200 »

Hello RSA members, I just joined as well and very new to this. Please forgive me if I do something wrong.I have question about a Remington Lifter model shotgun I just picked up.I am trying to find out which model and what year it was made.Any help would be great. It is 10 bore SxS,lifter model, overall length is 46 1/4",barrel is 30"on the barrel is marked E.Remingon &Sons,Ilion, NY.serial # 469 marked on everything, barrel also has a HP or could be IP stamped on it.On the receiver it is stamped 21,25 and Patents Aug3 1871, Apr.18,1872. .Also has semi pistol grip stock and forearm has lift release. Thanks

Thanks for getting back to me.Yes, you insert a finger lift and pull off the forearm.Doll's head ,yes.Gun is plain with no engraving. The tip of the forearm is rounded.Barrels are steel and so is the buttplate.
