I would only shoot standard velocity ammo from your 12. This will start an argument, but the 12 is the best 22 rifle around.

Move to the appropriate place Rifles....
I would agree with the standard velocity, I don't know if specific modifications were made for the 12 but in the early 30's other manufactures like Marlin for example made modifications to handle the high velocity in the 39 (HS serial). I may also like 12's more but it's hard to argue that a 121 might just be a wee bit better

The breechblock was "beefed" up in the M/121 to handle the hi-vel, higher pressure ammo. Stick with the std velocity.
