Re: Renewed my membership.

Just in time! Surprised I remembered my log-in info. :D Once I figure out how to make my new cellphone work, I'll try to come back and post a few pix. Glad to back! Let me know how that goes on a cellphone, I've tried to do the right things in this forum but it's not easy to deal with phones. David

From the front trigger. I couldn't post because there was only 23 characters, not 40. Guess I'm at 40 now.

Re: Model 95

This is the first I approved since your new, the other dups I just tossed, hope that's ok. Schuyler, Hartley and Graham purchased E. Remington and Sons (top of barrel) in 1988 and formed Remington Arms Co. (top of barrel) Remington Arms Co then merged with Union Metallic Cartridge Co in 1912. (UMC a...

I just recieved this gun from my grandpa. I'm trying to find the age, but the only numbers I see are on the receiver. Any ideas on how to identify its age?

Re: Model 51 letter code

Mystery may be solved! In an email from Remington they said, "The LT markings are just inspector markings, they carry no significance for dating the pistol." I may contact the Remington historian [(800) 243-9700] to find out if they have any info regarding identity of inspectors. That serial is 1923.

Re: Model 51 letter code

thanks steve -- I thought letter codes only applied to rifle/shotgun barrels. not sure I know how to upload photos yet. capital letters "LT" are located on upper front of left side trigger guard, both being evenly spaced and centered in that space. When your posting look a bit lower there's an atta...

Go to http://www.wisnersinc.com/model/remingt ... 2-rimfire/

Then scroll down to item 27. $3 each.
Well h... that takes the fun out of it...

My brother always said I would rather spend and hour in the shop vs going to the hardware store for a 27 cent screw and he was right.

Re: Number 4 parts interchange

I think a #4 is a nice rifle, my preference is the early take-down but I wouldn't pass on any of them.
