Re: Posts

That RED X right after the edit button you click to make changes.
Maybe what I see and you see are different because of the browsers if it's still not there for you I'll send you a screen picture. Let me know.

Re: Posting pictures in PM

I know this sounds crazy (to me actually as well) but it certainly looks right, can log all the way out and back in if your not and if your trying do it on a new pm instead of adding to an existing one.
It just looks right to me, it was turned off before.

Re: Chamber length on Model 1889 10-gauge ?

So I was told blackpowder shouldn't be loose, if you put in less are you supposed to fill and with? I've never loaded shotgun and only load blackpowder pistol ammo because you really have to but when I started asking everyone they said it can't be loose and fill it up until the bullet seated will sn...

Re: Grandfather old Fieldmaster 121

March 1951 is AXX - this is the correct answer ;)

I believe there should be a 1 before that 6, 169700 would slip just into 1952 from the serial list but I wouldn't bet a dead cat on it being right.

Re: Remington Elliot's Ring Derringer with Metal Grips, Original??

I can't say on the grips would really need those in hand, Remington no a retailer possibly? I'm glad to hear it's a trigger tension not to pop up the barrel I hear that occasionally and I've see a whole lot of "replacement" springs as well but as you probably know the originals are are a bit odd sha...

The serial number: RW 623933. When I originally looked it up, I thought it was November 1928.

I have more pics if needed.

Thanks
It is 1924 and it should have writing.

Re: DUPLICATE SERIAL NUMBERS

I guess that depends on what the definition of proof is ;) There are certainly many examples of duplicate numbers not only in the 1975 but also in the derringers such as the "two-line" and some of the other variations prior to UMC. The 1888 is just a c... shoot other then the added assembly number (...
