Re: Is this a model 14 or 141?
Thank you for the link. I did not think it would be available online yet, so I made do with a picture of the magazine page, unfortunately cutting off the date at the bottom of the page.
I am not sure if the picture provided was actually a part of the old report, or just something handy to meet the ...

Is this a model 14 or 141?
Pg 31 of the June 2020 Pennsylvania Game News has a picture of a hunter & deer. I think he is holding a model 14, but it could be a 141? Any opinions?

Re: Scout scope on a 141 ?
Thanks NambuJim,
I always appreciate your perspective.
The 336 picture on my link got me wondering if it would work on a 141. I was thinking that the picture may have used the factory D&T as well as the rear sight dovetail to avoid direct bbl D&T?
I have a late 141 that was already D&T when I got ...

Re: Scout scope on a 141 ?
I figured this might raise a few hackles. Perhaps that is why it has not been done......at least not on this forum.

Scout scope on a 141 ?
I am thinking about putting a long eye relief Scout scope on my 35 Remington 141, similar to the attached discussion & picture on a 336. Has anyone done this? What are the pros & cons?

Re: 141 in 35 rem. loads
Example: trying to load 35 grains using my Lee Perfect Powder Measure, sometimes I am short 1 to 2 grains! Tapping the unit sharply will sometimes release some of the "stuck" extruded powder, but I don't always get my full 35 grains.
Perhaps I should consider flake or granular powder if I want to ...

Re: 141 in 35 rem. loads
I am trying to reload 35 Remington with a Lee Perfect Powder Measure, but it does not seem to dispense powder very consistently with extruded powders IMR3031 & IMR4064.
What powder measures do you all use for extruded powders?

Re: Remington model 14 fail to fire
My 141 always fires when loading the cartridge into the magazine and cycling into the chamber.
I experienced failures to fire only when loading a cartridge directly into the chamber. Perhaps I was not completely cocking the hammer?

I have used soft cases. Found this post, as there are times I would like to have additional protection for my rifles while traveling.

If no one here uses a hard case, then what is your favorite carrying case to best protect your models 14 & 141 ?
