Remington Ads & Posters

I have a Remington poster that is supposed to be by Osthaus in 1916. It shows a gentleman dressed in high end period clothes, a horse, 2 older dogs, being greeted by the pups. This is not in the book "The Art of Remington Arms". Any info welcome. Also have 2 of the 1928 posters by Hy S Wat...

Re: Remington Model 32 Shotguns

I know it's an old thread, but adding info for future looks. Larry Del Grego has Model 32 # 32 in the white/unfinished. So much for the idea they started with 3 digits.

Remington Posters

I have recently purchased 2 sets of 4 posters. The 1st set is in a green folder that says they are repro's of early posters. The 2nd set is in a lighter green folder with the same statement, have better quality paper, and are marked on the back the year that they were originally published. I believe...

Wood workers to avoid

I had the worst experience of my life in dealing with Evans Compton and Eddie Hilton in NC. I sent them a 32 stock so Evans could use it to make a duplicate with his stock machine. 1. I asked that the new wood math the Fleur de Lis forearm I sent. The wood was not even close to matching, and the sto...

Re: Factory Engraved Remington Model 32F

Thanks for the post. I think all fans of the 32 know that the records of that era leave something too be desired, at least as far is production is concerned. I have read several places that Remington engravers could not sign their work until post war. I wonder if "sneaking" an initial into...

Model 32 Barrels

I recently purchased my 4th Model 32, and my 2nd 4 barrel set. The question is, all 4 barrels are unmarked. I looked at Ben D'Orio"s 4 barrel set at the NSSA museum in San Antonio, which were built by Lefever, and my barrels look similar to 1 of the Lefever barrels, of which 2 are marked. The g...

Re: Model 32F Dilemma

Love your dilemma. Could you post some photos of the wood, please? I'm having a stock made, and would like a some reference so the maker can try and copy the factory design.
Beautiful gun.

Re: My new Remington 32

My might want to send some very good pictures to Remington. I talked with them, and they told me their records show the #'s started with 1001, but I told them I know who has #32 Model 32. They also told me that they made 903 the 1st year. If you see any of the old literature, they note the dbl trigg...
