Re: Stuck bolt model 14
I picked up the model 14 and tried to rack the slide again, and it opened just like it was supposed to. I have no idea why, but I am glad it did...Bill

Stuck bolt model 14
HELP! I have had this rifle for several years, but have never shot it. I have brass and dies and bullets, so I made up a couple of dummy rounds to see what worked ad what didn't. It loaded and ejected the two rounds the first time. The second time after chambering a round, I pulled the trigger and ...

WTB: 1885 bolt parts
Well, total confusion. It turns out my rifle is an 1885 model after all. I need an extractor for it. I believe it was one of the first rifles issued to the U.S.S. Philadelphia since it has "Philadelphia" stamped into the comb of the buttstock.

Re: What is Philadelphia?
The rifle is serial numbered 50197 and USN 1280. Could this have been a rifle issued to the USS Philadelphia?

What is Philadelphia?
I have a remington Lee, not sure if it is a model 1882 or an 1885, and it has the word PHILADELPHIA stamped into the top (comb) of the buttstock in letters that are a little over 1/8 inch high, and the word PHILADELPHIA is about 3 1/2 inches long. Does anyone have any idea what this might refer to?

I am looking for some bolt parts, or even a complete bolt, for an 1885 (I think) Remington Lee Navy.

1882 Hammer
Howdy All:
I am looking for either an original or a reproduction of the right hammer for a model 1882 side by side. Does anyone know of any? I have tried Numrich and a few other places with no luck.
