12 guage side by side
12 guage side by side
I was given a shot gun by a friend. I am trying to find out what it might be worth. It is a 12 guage side by side dated OCT, 30 1894 with a serial number 104933 can anyone tell me the value of this item?

Remington Model 1894
From your brief description and the serial number we can tell you have a Remington Model 1894, that was likely built in the early part of 1897. It is impossible to truely evaluate a gun over the internet, one has to have the gun in hand. Value of a Model 1894 could be anywhere from $100 for a ratty A-Grade 12-gauge to $15,000 or more for a mint condition 16-gauge EEO-Grade.
The patent date refers to two U.S. Patents, one for the frame and one for the ejector system --
