I Have ?'s On An 1863 50.cal Used By A Civil War Cournel

Post by Crzyfrlss1 »

This was a gift to our family almost a hundred years ago.

It was used by a Cournel Ebenezer Stoddard from the civil war we also have the dress sword that goes with it.

The firearm seems to be in great condition, we've never fired it. even the original leather sling strap is still intact on it. Has what seems to be a bayonet attachement on the barrel as well.

Can anybody take a guess as to what the approximate value of something like this might be?

Thanks in advance.

I can't identify the pistol without more info. Could you send me a picture? Jay Huber RSA huber7774@bellsouth.net

Looks exactly like this on here, but any info I've found says it's a .58 cal.
I apologize for my poor spelling of colonel. Upon further research i have found this belonged to Colonel Sampson Stoddard.
