New forend for 11 87

What's the best place to find a new forend? Alternatively, can a split in the forend be repaired?

Are you looking for Walnut or Synthetic forearms. I'm asuming if it's a crack in it then it must have been a walnut one. Brownells has everything you'll need for Remington Factory Parts. They also have a schematic of many firearms including the Rem 11-87. Cracks in the forearm can be repaired by a trained smith, but you may be better off buying a replacement. Keep in mind that natural woods such as American Walnut accept and retain color stain in varying ways. Some are lighter in shade and others are darker. Try and match the color shade of the forearm to your stock.
