Remingtom model 51

I have a Remington model 51 serial number PA 28x and I was wondering when it was made. Do all the serial number have the prefix PA?

Your Gun was made in the second year of production 1919 and 22,966 were made that year. PA proceeded all numbering. Being an early pistol your Slide probably has 9 wide serrations whereas later pistols had 15 narrow slide serration's. Your gun should be a .380 cal. Regards JAY HUBER RSA
