Stripper Clips

Post by MadScotsMan »

Did the Model 8 in .35 Remington originally use stripper clips? The receiver appears to be notched for them. If they did, does anyone know of a source for the clips?
Thanks!

I believe the gun could use stripper clips. Look in PARTS & SERVICE this site. JAY HUBER RSA

They were supplied with each rifle. Early models were of a corigated brass, but other later were stamped steel. When shopping for these make sure you get the more common 35 Rem / 300 Sav model, because the ones made for the 25/30/32 Rem are too small for your gun.

Make sure and check eBay. Recently a few of them have gone by in auction. When searching look up Remington Model 8 and you will get just a few hits. If they are there you will see them. Sometimes you can find them by searching for 'stripper clip' but you will need to wade through a lot of auctions and you need to know what your looking for. I was also recently warned that Rem Model 30 rifles came with similar but not exact clips.
