My recently-purchased Model 81 (35 Rem) is in need of a new magazine spring, but it also does not eject. My question is about the ejector. The ejector is not flat, but slightly pointed, is the higher portion of the ejector towards the firing pin hole or the outside of the bolt?
Currently, the tip is toward the firing pin hole and there is a large amount of tension on the ejector, but I am wondering if has been put in 180 degrees from how it should be.
