?Pre 1898 shotgun

Help I need to know the date for my brother's old Remington Model 114 Semi Automatic 12 gauge shotgun with the numbr 181865 and the barrel is about 26 inches long. If it is pre 1899 I can send it to my sister via ups. :?:

Your gun is about twenty years too new, about 1918 or 19.

Thanks -- I just figured out that it is really an 11A so that would have helped too. Oh well guess I have to keep it :oops:
