Shooting original revolvers
Shooting original revolvers
Does anyone shoot their original Remington Army revolvers? The one I have is in very good shape and very tight. However, I cannot get the nipples out. I've soaked the cylinder in kroil and I don't want to destroy them by applying undue pressure and "buggering" them. I'd like to know the thread size for the nipples and whether replacements are available. Thanks, Dennis
Re: Shooting original revolvers
We don't recommend shooting the gun and if you do it is at your own risk. You can obtain new nipples frob DIXIE GUN WORKS. I heat the nipple with a tourch and back them out. This will destroy any finish left, however it destroys any finish left. Jay Huber RSA
