I have a mid-1960’s model 700 chambered in 375 H&H magnum. There is no letter before the serial number which suggests the 60’s. My rifle has a heavy barrel with the Remington proof markings and a recoil lug also factory marked with “375 H&H Magnum”. The lug measures 0.2 inches thick. In addition, the rifle has the original Walker trigger. The factory stock is in perfect condition and has a rosewood tip.
What I am after is if there is a way to get a factory letter regarding the rifle or a way to substantiate what exactly the rifle is.
