Remington 141 transition model

Post by 54bullseye »

Again just posting for something I hope you all like to look at. I would just like to say the reason I like posting pictures of some of my collection is that I have no friends that live close to me that enjoy Remington rifles like I do so no one to share with !! I do have a few friends on the model 8 site and this forum who I enjoy talking to about different Remington's. I do wish others with similar rifles as I post would chime in once in a while and talk about and post pictures of some of there guns. I want to add that in no way am I bragging about the guns I have I am just sharing in hopes to strike up some conversation about different model Remington's and different components they may have. I see many people have looked at my pictures with just about no response ??? Oh well hope you at least enjoy the pictures !! John Taylor

Now for a nice little model 141 serial # 1110. It has a 22 inch barrel with the model 14 sight cut outs. The barrel code is "PD" so June of 1935. The serial number is on receiver, the butt plate, on trigger assembly and on the rear tang of the trigger assembly. The gun is 35 rem and bore is mint. I picked it up very reasonably from a recent auction.

I was very happy when I received the gun ! Bluing in not perfect but very nice. The rear stock has some marks on it and shows some I believe they call crazing. The fore end is pretty decent but does have a faint crack on front that is only an inch or two long. From what I have read the serial numbers on the 141 started at 1000 so a nice early gun !! Again enjoy pictures !! John
