Remington rolling block split breech carbinr in .46 rimfire.

Post by rnorthin »

I have an original Remington rolling block split breech cavalry carbine in .46 rimfire. It is in rough shape. No original forearm stock, barrel band, or stock. Pedersolie has a reproduction of this and I'm trying to get the missing parts from them in hopes they will fit.

Have you tried finding parts from vendors such as Dixie or Numrich?

Dixie gunworks does not have any neither does Remington. Pedersoli is the closest thing.

Nice find. I have just got one Mine is a type 2 in 50/56 and although a little rough it is complete. I was pleased to find it as they are scarce here in the UK and it is the fist one I have seen . I would think that a good woodworker should be able to help with the fore end. When you have the wood a barrel band should' not be hard to find .
Good luck.
