Just purchased this old shotgun and it will not come apart after removing the forearm any suggestions would be appreciated

Phillip did you find out what is the problem that the barrels will not come off the receiver.
I can help you with the problem.

No I’m afraid not and even manipulating the right side hammer to get the lever as far as possible didn’t help so I’m open to suggestions and your help is appreciated
