More info needed on Q365466; Octo 30 1894 shotgun

My father is very ill and wanting me to research his shotgun. No idea where to start. Plaint stock-no engraving or design.

Your Remington double is a Model 1900 K grade made in 1907. Also you post your question in the rifle section.

The K grade was offered in 4 versions:

K - steel barrels with extractors
KE - steel barrels with ejectors

KD - Damascus barrels with extractors
KED - Damascus barrels with ejectors

Yours appears to be a KE

In addition, 26 and 33 are stamped on the lug - this indicates degree of choke. Remington used a 1 1/4 oz load of #8 shoot (512 pellets) fired at a 30" circle from 40 yards as I recall. A leading 3 is assumed so 326/512 = 64%. and 333/512 = 65% -- both barrels are IM.
