Everything I read indicates that the 10-gauge Remington 1894 double was only offered with 30" and 32" barrels. I'm looking at an A-grade for sale online with 28" barrels. I suppose it could have been a special order, but I believe the barrels have been cut.
Has anyone here seen a 10-gauge that left the factory with 28" barrels?

Re: Barrel length for 1894 10-Gauge
While I'm not sure I believe it, Mr. Deem in his recent The Double Gun Journal article on a 25-inch barrel DEO-Grade 12-gauge suggests that Remington Arms Co. stamped the length of non-standard barrels on the bottom of the web between the two lugs on the barrels?!?
Re: Barrel length for 1894 10-Gauge
I would ask what the chokes and the pellet count, does it match, also what is the bore diameter. My guess the barrels have been cut look at the end do the barrel touch and is the triangle between the barrels steel or solder.

Thanks for the replies. I don't see anything like the barrel length stamped on the bottom of the web, but the barrels touch at the muzzle.

I still would ask what is the choke and the pellet count stamp on the lug does it match the choke. I have a 1894 grade A 30" barrels
choke dia. right .747 pellet count 326
choke dia. left .745 pellet count 356
choke dia. right .747 pellet count 326
choke dia. left .745 pellet count 356
