In lieu of starting a full research project, maybe Remington Customer Service could answer that one for you. I believe the current legal name is Remington Arms Company, LLC and has been that way since at least 2007, probably much longer.
If one wanted to spend the time, an internet search for lawsuits might reveal names of plaintiffs and defendants.
