Magazine for Model 760 in .300 savage?

New friends,

This is my first post. - I've acquired a Model 760 in .300 savage in NRA VG-EXCELLENT and need another magazine.
(Frankly, I bought it because I like the .300 savage cartridge & have not seen another Model 760 in that caliber.)

AUG 1954 assembly date code (WA). Serial number: 22369X

Also, does anyone know how many 760 rifles were made in .300 savage?

I believe that the .308 Winchester uses the same clip as the .300 Savage, as would the .243 Winchester.

The .300 Savage 760 Magazine is unique , in that it has fillers front and rear as does the .35 Rem. magazine . Original .300 Savage mags are hard to find , but from what I hear , they are the only ones that work reliably ! I have a .300 760 with original mag . Never tried any others in it . If you want to try a regular short magazine I have a new all metal old style stamped .243 Win. for sale .
