My 1875 Remington Revolver put back and all orginal

Post by dianne »

This took some time since I first posted looking for parts. Thanks for all the help you guys! It's 100% orginal (there are two screws not in there right now, but will be changing that soon).

Diane, I would appreciate the post here so we can help everyone if you wouldn't mind...

Probably should try to remember the Guy in CA who makes the new parts as well, but I'm old.

Thanks.

The person I got these parts from has no more, he sold off everything. He bought it and parted it out. My gunsmith appears to have lost 2 of the screws, I am hammering him to find them - don't like the Umberti ones in there. Hoepfully will get those back.

There were others that had the Italian parts and they said they are compatible, although I wanted mine orginal. But, I do need a new spring and why that hammer is sticking out.

They do get parts once in awhile. Very helpful and friendly people.

Hope this helps, but finding parts is near impossible I learned. I had posted a wanted ad on my forums and that was spidered and that person found me. I would recommend doing that on the forum there. You never know, someone could find you :)

Also, Dixie has some parts that are for the orginal and reproductions and very reasonably priced:

I just ordered the hammer spring to make mine a shooter.

Good luck!

Nice job. As I'm sure you've discovered, PATIENCE, is the hardest part to find.
