Newbe here with question on Model 33

Post by 1644 »

I have a Remington model 33 for many years. Although has Remington 33 markings there does not seem to be a serial number or letters. the forearm of the stock does not have the finger groove. Plain metal butt plate. My son outgrew it long time ago. Rear sight is open with adjustable elevation. Front sight appears to be global peep sight type. Finish is parkerized. No rust or pitts. Mirror bore. Stock is very good, not beat. Any way to tell production date in case I sell.........???? Email if pics needed. Pics to big to post here. Thanks

You have an early (Type 1) Model 33. The finish was not originally parkerized. It should have a date code giving you the month/year it was born. It should not have a serial #.
