Remington Society

I have a 1926 remington cal. that was purchased from a reputable dealer, i was told that it was in fact an orig. but there are questions about the authenticity of some of these, the band across the top is an off white , maybe tan... there is no border,,, some yellowing from the frame i suppose...can anyone tell me if this authentic or not?

There should be a band on the bottom, usually brown. If a repro it should say" The dates on this 1926 Remington Collectible calender correspond with xxxx Dates" between the bottom band and the bottom of the calender pages. Many times this is cut off to make it look like an original. Jay Huber RSA
