hello im new to this forum. I purchased my 870 about 3 weeks ago and have used the firearm twice in this period. I'm not new to guns but i don't consider myself to be proficient in them either. the last two times i have used my 870 I've had jamming issues. there are 2 different issues and they are as follows.
1. Improper hull ejection on third shot. upon cycling through the third shot to the fourth the third hull often gets caught during ejection. im shooting 2-3/4 target loads using rem. trap loads size 7-1/2 or 8.
2. After firing the firearm sometimes it is very difficult to cycle i often have to take off my shoulder and very forcibly cycle the action open to get the shell to eject. i was told this could be a burr.
Thank you in advance. i love this firearm and i hope these problems can be resolved asap. i have sent this issue to Remington tech support as well.

was for the third shell usually its quick. its happend to myself and a few others who have shot the firearm. i cant really tell if its a hardware issue or if its the shells but it happens with remington and federal ammo. i cant see any rubbing marks on the action bars and the chamber is clean i have field stripped the gun and cleaned it twice. yes its an express and no i dont have any issues cycling the gun with or without unfired shells. the shells fired are not ruptured and in my opinion would be suitable for reloading. there is a slight amout of wear on the bolt but nothing of concern. still no answer from remington im going shooting tomorrow ill see if i have any issues after stripping it and cleaning it again.
