Remington 11 ejection problems?

Post by thenry »

Anyone have any suggestions on a Model 11 20 ga. that isn't ejecting properly? The jams just about every round. The carrier appears to come all the way back and lodges the shell in the port, almost what I would equate to a stovepipe in a pistol. I recently picked up another Model 11 at a gunshow that had stouter springs so I changed out the springs and the gun still has the problem. The friction rings are in the correct position for light loads.

What gives? Any suggestions before I send this thing off and pay a fortune to have it worked on?

try giving it a good cleaning all the way down to the bolt spring. had a prob with my grandfather's 12 ga after shooting some skeet and after cleaning, it worked.
