All fired cases were extracted from the chamber!
Here's what I tried, filed the back part of the ejector's notch to lessen the pressure on the case; cut one and a half coils off the spring; faster, more forceful bolt action to the rear; and I really cleaned and scrubed the chamber with a brush and Chore Boy copper pads. Oh, I tried with and without other rounds in the magazine.
All changes were made at the range, one at a time and the rifle fired after each change.
The effect of the filing and coil cutting was not noticable on the ejection of a fired case, it was on the ejection of a loaded round...didn't throw it as far.
I did try some fired cases(fired and reinserted into the chamber) they didn't eject any better than others.
I'm going to investigate stronger spring for the ejector. Any other ideas will be appreciated. Preston
