My father passed and left me a Remington #3 Hepburn ser#5088 in cal 45-90 it has a 31 in. barrel part octagon part round.
With rear tang can any one give me any information one this rifle? It is in excellent condition.Here are a few pictures any information would
be appreciated.

I'm sorry for your loss.
I don't know much about the Hepburns yet and I don't know what information you are after, but you may do well to post some specific questions on the ASSRS forum if you haven't already: http://www.assra.com/cgi-bin/yabb/yabb.pl
But I do know that is a beautiful rifle and you are blessed to have one in such fine condition. Those colors are awesome. Most Hepburns I see have lost most or all of their colors. Don't be selling it at a garage sale, now That sucker's worth some $$$
I just started collecting single shots and got a Hepburn last summer in much poorer condition, but I love it. It has a relined barrel in 38-55 and shoots great. I also just picked up a Ballard Pacific in 45-70. Both are "shooter" grade but still have plenty of life left in them.
