I got SCAMMED

Hey folks .
I encourage you all to take the warning at the top of the page seriously.
I got scammed and the initial contact was from a WTB update I posted on May 12 2025 WTB a percussion cylinder for my Remington New Model Police revolver . The person replied to my post and said that they had an original cylinder and barrel for sale. Said they'd send pics to my email if I provided it . I did , they sent pics and we agreed on the price . My Mrs said that she'd like to get it for me as a Father's Day gift . I forwarded the email to her and went about my business. Unfortunately it didn't work out .
This person who had replied to my ad has deleted their response to it . I have their original ad reply username was susanlourie69@gmail.com . The addy they gave my Mrs was rufinamcmillan615@gmail.com and the Zelle address the money was sent to is Zelle@Lois McGee
We were working with our bank and Zelle to recover the money . I'll let you all know if we're successful with that .
I googled the pics this person sent . There's several ads on eBay that shows the cylinder with the exact same number stamped on it with the same background as well as the barrel with the same description and background . I contacted the person on eBay and told them about it all . Their response was kinda ho-hum about it all but offered to sell me the cylinder once he gets it back from the buyer who said it didn't fit his gun .
I spoke with Mike , here at RSA to let him know what happened .
I never expected that I would be scammed by anyone that is "involved," with this forum (they aren't) but it happened to me . Don't let it happen to you.
In the meantime ...
I'm still looking for an original 5 shot.36 percussion cylinder for my Remington New Model Police revolver although It might take me a little while to save up the money to buy it .

Wow, it seems they were saying truth. There are some scammers here. Thanks for sharing it, I will keep it in my mind and also I will share it with my friends.
