Rear Sight Stud

I am restoring a Model 81 in 300 Savage
When I purchased the rifle it was in very poor appearance and several mechanical issues.
The last issue is the rear stud rear screw threads are stripped. I found a rear sight stud on line. Still waiting
Is the rear site stud Silver Soldered in place.
I want an idea of how that part is installed before I start missing with it.

IIRC, the stud is installed from inside the barrel jacket. The barrel needs removed to get access, then the sight screws and sight removed, then the stud is pushed inwards. I do not know the difficulty in installing a new stud.
