"Ellust patent" derringer knock off or what?

I acquired this e remington and sons derringer yet instead of saying Elliots patent it says Ellust patent. Is this a poor copy? Or something else? Thanks in advance!

Looks like a copy, poorly faked at that.

Text not straight, Ellust incorrect, N.I. instead of N.Y., patent date off. Value depends, some people might pay a bit more for a fake, others will cut the value because it is not legit.
