Good afternoon, I’ve spent a lot or time on this forum over the years and it’s been a great reference tool.
I am hoping that you fine folks can give me a hand. I recently acquired a Remington 600 in a 6.5 mm Remington magnum. It has a full length mannlicher stock. Upon close inspection the only proof mark I can find on the barrel is a letter T with a triangle around it on the left side of the barrel. The barrel marked “Remington Arms Co. Inc. Ilion, NY, made in USA 6.5mm Rem . Mag” To further add to my confusion, it has a three digit serial number on the receiver.
I have looked through this forum as well as others and I’m coming up with very little information about these guns having three digit serial numbers. I was aware that between 150 and 200 of them were shipped overseas for the European market, but the stock that came with mine is not the “Anschulz”” style stock that was typical of those rifles.
Any help with some info is greatly appreciated
Thank you
