Thought it was a die cut from the ad. It's a painting

I went to a sale tonight thinking this was either an original or repro die cut. It looks like a painting. It is old. The Kleanbore boxes look like cutouts from advertising and the rest is hand painted. The boys, the text, the gun all hand done, and not too bad a job. Did shops contract to have this done, or have I run across the work of a talented fan? I really am not too worried, if it is of no value, it is going on my office wall.

In that the happy young lad is holding a Remington Model 121 the poster is from 1937 or later. Between the 1936 and 37 Remington Arms Co. catalogs the old Model 12 got updated to the Model 121.

Thanks so much! That makes absolute sense with the clothing he's wearing. I think I can describe it as appearing to be from the late 30's to early 50's from the gun and even the clothes. It's on my wall right now, and looks great! If someone knows anything further about this, I would love to know more! It's canvas on board, it looks like it was a work in progress, the part above the gun really doesn't have anything done to it, and I can see where the painter was editing the boy's fingers on the gun.
