Greetings from NY (unfortunately). Could I get some opinions on this Remington model 8 I recently acquired. I am a Winchester collector so I am a little lacking on Model 8s. I received it from a friend whose uncle passed away and it was free. I believe it’s been refinished. But looks great.

Those Remington autoloaders sure are a neat rifle. I believe you're correct that it's been refinished.
