Post by Kristian-up-north »

I purchased a remington cdl sf 30-06, as my first rifle as i started hunting last fall , its been 18 years prior to that since i fired a gun . Im just trying to understand the stamping on the barrel i have figured out it was made in april 2009 and that's where im at. Any help is appreciated ...thanks Kristian

The rest of the markings are usually inspectors marks for which their can be several. No real meaning unless it was returned to the plant for repair, then they could I.D. who approved it. You've identified the barrel code & serial, those are the two most important markings.

Enjoy your rifle, good choice of caliber!
