12 Ga 11-48 Rifled Slug Barrel ?

Post by wannagohunting »

I have a 12ga Sportsmans 48 Rifled slug barrel. Barrel only. I understand that it is made for rifled slugs and there is no rifling in the bore.
How rare is this? It is in exc condition. If I may ask here what approximate value would it have?
Thank you kindly.

With the advent of truly rifled barrels the older unrifled slug barrels are really obsolete. What you have is a cylinder choke bore barrel. Does the barrel have adjustable rear sights?

The RSS (Rifled Slug Specials) were introduced in the early 1960s, a year or two before the Model 1100 was introduced --
