Remington's graded guns are on par with any of the American makers. I have alway hoped that my "C" graded 1894's or "D" graded pre-11 or Model 10 trap guns were done by the master Joe Loy. What about the "FE" and "B' guns? How many engravers were employed at any time?
How would the experience levels dictate who did what grades, or did lesser experienced gravers do the less involved lines and scroll and such? The animals, dogs and birds on the Best Guns surely show the masters touch for sure. Signing the guns would have helped! Did the other brands let the engravers sign the gun?
Any information would be neat, even opines from the peanut gallery (ha ha)
