Thanks to your photo, I began searching for catalogs of that era as opposed to searching for the knife itself. So far, this has led me to find 3 different catalogs which actually show the knife I have. Had I not found this information, I likely would have began cleaning the blade in a less than delicate manner, not knowing that most models I have seen in the catalogs actually have an etched blade! Upon closer examination, I can almost make out some lettering beneath the buildup. (Not 100% sure) Needless to say, I will be moving forward with a bit more patience and caution. The only difference I can see between the knife I have and the ones shown in the catalogs, is the number of pins. All versions that I have found online show 4 pins, while the one I have only has 3. Does anyone out there have any further information they can share on this seemingly rare (IMHO) Remington folder?

Any tips on how to clean the blade without degrading the possible blade etch?
