I have a Remington Autoloading Shotgun SN 73661. As best as I can tell, that means it was made somewhere between 1908 and 1910, but most likely 1909. Whoever owned it before me removed the butt plate and installed a thick rubber recoil pad. Well, I don't like the pad and it makes the length of pull too long for me, so I'd like to put a regular plate back on. Does anyone know what the proper buttplate should look like? The only thing I've been able to find is this urethane reproduction. For $15, if this is what it's supposed to look like, I'll probably get it until I find a real one. Unless you guys are familiar with it and it's not strong enough to shoot with.

Re: Pre Model 11 Buttplate
Hoss,
Actually that one would predate your gun.
Yours would be exactly the same but have ARMS CO in the lower banner instead of Automatic.
NC Ordnance makes both types Bill is very easy to deal with.
Check his website just make sure the dimensions match as they put that same type plate on a few different models in the '06-'10 time frame.
They will hold up to normal wear and tear.
